JustTizze is the status of being just whilst being Tiz.
Nah, it's just a play on my name, Tiz, or Tiziano Parducci as per my birth certificate.
I was born in Lucca, Tuscany 22 years ago, and raised in the hilly village of Lugliano, located in the nearby chestnut-tree-brimful uplands.
My father used to be a keyboardist in a band when he was my age, so he got me into music from an early age by giving me piano lessons all throughout my childhood. I always enjoyed improvising and playing by ear more than I did reading from a score, which is something I still struggle with to this very day. :P
I studied chemistry at high school, which admittedly wasn't my favourite subject; I would've rather much studied IT, physics, or mathematics, but due to the geography of my hometown, that would've meant commuting for 2 and a half hours 6 days a week, which I wasn't too keen on. After graduating, I briefly worked at a paper mill in order to save money and booked a one-way flight to London shortly after my 18th birthday.
Me in high school circa 2013
I moved to London without a plan or idea what to do. I knew that I wanted to make music, but also knew that at the time I wasn't good enough; I couldn't really sing, write, or produce at the level I was aiming for. I stayed in a hostel for a week while looking for a job and accommodation. Once those were sorted, I was finally able to immerse myself in the city, getting to talk to strangers, and getting to witness the multitude of lifestyles that are lived and the quickness with which it's easy to move on from one chapter to the other, something that I'd never seen before having grown up in a village, which led to an initial curiosity about the newness of it all. Well, that curiousity has certainly been quenched. I have moved houses 7 times (and counting) and worked tens of different jobs, often 2 or 3 at a time, and each of these experiences, each interesting situation I've found myself in, each conversation I've struck with other Londoners have made me who I am today, and they always somehow find a way in to my art.
2016: working and smiling
It took years of practice before I was satisfied with my musical abilities, but I finally independently released my debut single "Your Dance" on the 15 Feb, and I can't wait to share what I'm currently working on.
